"This all could have been prevented and save everyone involved.”

I had DCIS nine years ago. I had a mastectomy and three lymph nodes removed. I was told I didn’t need treatment.

Nine years later, I went back to the doctor with arm pain. I was told it was most likely not breast cancer. I insisted they do a scan, and sure enough, cancer. I had a mass in my pectoral muscles, laying on a big nerve that leads to my arm.

I don't understand why when getting a mammogram they can't do an MRI on the side with no breast. I asked this every year. They just don't do it. Sad! This all could have been prevented and save everyone involved.
