"Let's continue to lift each other up, let the world hear our voices and know that we matter."

I am living life to the fullest, enjoying my 3 beautiful kids and my loving husband, and working on being helpful to others. It’s important to make memories, laugh a lot and try to have fun. Being diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer has really put things in perspective for me.

My first diagnosis was 2012 and then in 2014 I was diagnosed with MBC to my liver, bones, skull and brain. This roller coaster can definitely be scary but you just keep holding on. I have good days and I have bad days, but you take it a day at a time. We need more awareness of MBC so the world knows more about it, what we deal with and the truths. We need more research for a cure. We need medications and treatments that do not tear our bodies down. I talk to many with MBC and we need support on all levels emotionally, physically, mentally and financially.

My heart goes out to those, so I started a nonprofit “What About Us” WAU Foundation that will help provide some relief to those who are struggling. I want to help and do my part. We are all in this together. Let’s continue to lift each other up, let the world hear our voices and know that we matter, our families matter and we want to be here with them. The “pink” is loud but we are pushing to be louder! MBC!
