"My first question: am I going to die?"
In June 2015, I was diagnosed with stage IV cancer in my breast and liver.
My first question: am I going to die? But I was too busy with treatment to worry about that. 6 rounds of chemo, a liver ablation, and double mastectomy later I was NED and back at work. Fast forward to now – life is awesome and every 90 days I get scanned. My friends and family bring joy to my life. 🙂 Every day I have joy! It is weird to say cancer gave me joy, but it gave me a better connection to a lot of friends and family.
I want to see MBC have a voice. Not many people understand it. They think I look great and I’m not sick, so they wonder, “How do I have cancer?”
