For metastatic breast cancer patients, it’s about time. Time to spend with their families … time to cross something off their bucket list or to simply drive the carpool or cook a meal … time in treatment and time feeling good. It’s also about time we increased awareness of the disease, time we developed more treatments to help metastatic patients live longer and better, time there was more recognition of and support for those managing this disease.
Through the #ItsAboutTimeMBC campaign, we’re encouraging metastatic breast cancer patients and their families to share their stories in order to raise awareness of this disease. You can describe what time means to you now … what you’re doing with the time you have … why you want more time … how you value time. This isn’t just about bucket lists and large feats, it’s valuing even the every day things that those who aren’t sick may take for granted – a sunset, enjoying an ice cream cone, sharing a laugh.
